There are several simple steps that can also be taken to help relieve the symptoms of bladder discomfort and the sooner the discomfort will ease.
Increase your intake of water. This will flush out the kidneys and dilute the urine so helping to decrease any stinging or burning that may be experienced.
   
Avoid strong tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, alcohol or citrus fruit drinks.
   
Do not hold on if you need to go to the toilet.
   
Keep warm. Place a hot water bottle between the legs, on your tummy or on your lower back.
   
Avoid using bubble-bath and perfumed soap.
   
Wear cotton underwear and stockings instead of tights.
   
Take care with toilet hygiene and make sure that you wipe from the front to the back.
   
Pass urine after sexual activity.

What is cystaid used for and how
does it work?
Cystaid contains a combination of herbal ingredients that soothe the symptoms of urinary and bladder discomfort such as those associated with cystitis.

Buchu Leaf, Uva Ursi, Couchgrass and Clivers are diuretics which help to increase the amount and frequency of water which you pass. Buchu Leaf, Uva Ursi and Shepherd’s Purse also have antiseptic properties which help stop the growth of bacteria. Clivers and Equisetum have soothing properties which help calm inflamed tissues.
How do I take cystaid?
For oral use. Adults and the elderly: Two tablets to be taken three times a day after meals whilst symptoms persist.

Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Can I take cystaid with other medicines?
Interactions with other medicines are not known and you should seek the advice of your pharmacist or doctor before taking this product. This includes medicines you buy for yourself, as well as those prescribed by your doctor.

Before taking cystaid
These tablets can be taken by adults and the elderly. However do not take if you have previously reacted badly to any of the ingredients.
Precautions
Avoid use in early pregnancy. Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicines in pregnancy.
If symptoms persist or worsen beyond 7-10 days, seek medical advice.
This medicinal product contains sucrose and lactose, if you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you need further advice.

After taking cystaid
Side-effects are not known with this product but if you experience any undesirable symptoms or side effects when taking this product, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take more than the stated dose. If you take too many tablets, discontinue use and talk to your doctor.
If you miss a dose take a replacement promptly and continue to take this medicine as directed, up to a maximum of 3 doses a day.

Note: If your symptoms persist or if your condition worsens stop treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
